Hi everyone new to this page! Please email me or leave a message when you get a chance! I'd like to hear from you!
Just spent three days at the UMC annual Iowa Conference at the Rec Plex in west Des Moines. It was filled with jokes, music, laughter, voting, and business. Although the building was "freezing," the company was great! I learned so much about John Wesley and the UMC. Learned new songs too! Most of them are ironically in one of our hymn books called the "faith we sing." If you or anyone you know is looking to move into a career of lay ministry, feel free to talk to me. I am also available for counseling, marriages, baptism's, funerals, and weddings starting July 1st, 2025. My licensure will be effective on that day. I can be reached at either the church number or this email address: weeksteri13@gmail.com
HAVE A BLESSED DAY EVERYONE! SEE YOU SOON! TERI WEEKS, LLP
Our beefburger sale made almost $500.00! Hurray and thanks to all who came and enjoyed the lunch.!
July 1, 2025: Good morning to all who are looking at our website today! If you would like to donate to our church or have inquiries, please email Pastor Teri at weeksteri13@gmail.com.
July first and our country is in trouble. We need to pray and pray fervently for our leaders, military, and all of us here in the United States! Put God first before all others and you will know what and who to pray for.
Also, I am looking for names and addresses of all current members and past members of our small but mighty church. Please send info to Pastor Teri at MUMC, 200 2nd st. sw, mitchellville, IA 50169.
7-8-25 Well, the fourth of July has come and gone. I watched fireworks out of my bedroom window the other night and it was beautiful!
My baby grandson was born on the 5th so the entire family is excited!
Our hearts go out to the family of Darlene Harper who passed away yesterday July 7, 2025 at 10:00am. This pastor was notified by her caretaker.
7-21-25 I want to encourage all you 30-40 yr old people in Mitchellville, to highly consider going to either our church, or any of the four churches in town. It is time to look at the future of your children, family, friends, and teach them about God and especially Jesus and his life. In a church family you will make friends for a lifetime, learn about God, Jesus, the Apostles, and how to live your life the way God made you to live it! IF you bring your children, we have a nursery where they can sit and play during services if you like. Someone will be sure to watch them during that time! We welcome all people to our church, including LGBTQ+ people and their families! No matter what color, race, belief system you came from, we welcome you to our humble church family! So, if you are thinking about it, give me a call at 515-639-6070! Pastor Teri Weeks, LLP
